NEC Corporation of America Training Product Education and Training General Policy Statement

Commitment:
NEC Corporation of America, Corporate Technologies Group, Product Education and Training Department will provide the highest level of technology and professionalism in all of our course offerings. We will provide you with competent, professional, experienced telecommunications engineer instructors on the most sophisticated products within the industry.

Enrollment Policy:
NEC Corporation of America will provide Product Education and Training courses to the direct employees of our authorized associates and to the direct employees of their bona fide customers (end users). All students are required to sign a "Statement of Limitations" certifying they are directly employed by either an authorized associate or are the bona fide customer of an authorized associate. Any exceptions must be approved in writing by the NEC Technical Training Manager.

All Enrollment requests must be submitted via the Internet by accessing the NECAM Training website. You will find a list of all of our courses. Credit card is the only acceptable method of payment accepted for live classes and exams.

Late enrollments:
Late enrollments within one week of the course start date are accepted on an "as available" basis. Payment must be received within 24 hours for late enrollments to secure the seat.

Late enrollments in courses requiring the delivery of prerequisite material are not permitted due to the student not having sufficient time to complete course prerequisite material. NEC Corporation of America, Inc. assumes no liability for declining a student’s participation in a course if they have not completed the mandatory prerequisite course material. The Manager Product Education and Training must approve all exceptions.

Status of enrollment:

Wait listed - Students are "Wait listed" upon request for enrollment pending receipt of payment or availability of a seat.

Confirmed - Status when payment is received.

Payment Policy:
Associates - credit card
Resellers or VARS – credit card
End Users - credit card

Cancellation Fee:
For students in "Confirmed" status, there is no cancellation fee for cancellations received more than fifteen business days prior to the start of the course. Any cancellation received less than fifteen business days prior to the start of the course will be charged 50% of the course tuition.

Cancellations are to be processed online via NECAM Training by either the enrolling student or enrolling manager. Please contact training@necam.com for any questions related to cancellation of live enrollments or refund of student fees.
.

NOTE: Any student failing to show for a course more than one day after the start of the course will be charged full tuition.

Students may request to be "Wait listed" for a full class pending cancellation by a confirmed student. If and when a seat becomes available in the desired class then the next person on the wait list will be notified and eligible to enroll.

NOTE: Please do not make travel arrangements unless notified of confirmed status. If a "wait listed" student is notified of a seat opening due to a cancellation, the student must submit the appropriate method of payment before receiving "Confirmed" status.

Prerequisites Policy Live Classes:
Many courses have qualifying prerequisites. The sophistication of telecommunications technology mandates adherence to course requirements. It is incumbent upon the registering student or their employer to insure all prerequisite conditions are met. Some courses require the student to take an on-line prerequisite exam via the Internet prior to class participation. If the student has not successfully completed all prerequisite materials, the student will not be permitted to continue in the course. NEC will then notify the student's supervisor for consultation to evaluate if the student may or may not continue with the course. In some instances students may be allowed to continue in the course, however, accreditation will not be granted until the qualifying prerequisite course or exam has been satisfied.

NOTE: Refunds will not be issued for any student not permitted if the course instructor evaluates them as being unqualified.

However last minute course cancellations can occur with less than two weeks notice. If such an event occurs the student will be granted a credit of 25% of the course fee that can only be applied to re-registering for the same course offered at the next available date.
